Since what we do for a living will be highly involved with our Survey Engine, we have finally decided to make another progress step by giving it a proper brand name. And without a doubt we match the brand with its domain name which is http://www.siamsquare.org.

But to make the move one step further, apart from a brand name alone, we also have developed a logo. So, when combining them together it should be more powerful to its branding and hopefully it would be seen as one of the easier medium for consumers to remember and recall in the future.

And below shows how this new branding introduction actually looks like in a visual term.

Of course when time goes by, who knows how the logo may become. We may twist it a bit, improve it a bit, etc. But we still believe it will be more or less the same as what we see today.

Therefore welcome SiamSquare to our family!

The search function has been added to our website.

It is a simple and quick search which will take no efforts from users to click too many times. This clearly allows a much greater experience to users on site browsing. And hopefully it will increase the rate of site accessing, and reading in the future.

The search function itself is coded by using a combination of Ruby and javascript which is simple enough to be integrated to our website.

We currently use this function only for the Blog section. And we will soon expand the usage to our sister website, http://www.pebinary.net, which would be very beneficial for all members and clients in the future on searching for the right help documents to read quicker.

The search function can be easily found in the Blog section on the right menu. Below is the example on how it looks like although its function is not working (just a demo here).

We start building a new website which can be considered as a another website in our family. It has been decided this new website will be a standalone one plus it will also have a right to own its own domain name.

This new website will be used as the Support website which will contain all help documents and instructions on how to use our survey system in details. And this will apply for both clients and menbers.

We have decided to use the domain name of http://www.pebinary.net. And two main sections will be outlined very clearly which is clients and members respectively.

And the mechanics behind this will be quite similar to our main website where we use a combination of HTML , Cascading Style Sheets , Ruby (programming language), and Markdown .

To be more specific, the HTML we use is the most advanced version which is HTML5 , and similarly for the Cascading Style Sheets where we also use the most updated version of CSS3 .

The outstanding aspect of this website will be the fact that we contains two languages which users can browse all help documents through both languages very smoothly.

In order to make the website look more appeal to the general public, a slideshow has been added.

It is one of the build-in functions provided by Bootstrap framework which is called carousel . FYI, this framework is developed and maintained by Twitter and it has been named as one of the most popular framework.

While it is first developed and installed to the front page, it may be considered to be included in some other pages in the future as well.

And please be noted that it is just an example and therefore we only show with a smaller size than the actual one we put on the front page.

Currently this section only uses one size of the picture which is 1280x500 pixel. And instead of placing the blur effect directly to the pictures, we currently use filter effect by CSS3 to make them look blur. However we may consider making all pictures blurred from the original photoshop source for a guarantee of consistency output to all viewers from different type of web browsers.

We have finally built-in all the pictures in this section as well as other sections with blur effect. And the effect itself is called Gaussian Blur in Adobe Photoshop .

Within a week right after the official website has been started, we have marked another step of progress by adding the official weblog (as known as blog) section to our website.

This will be the place where we log all the progress / update that we make to the website.

The blog can be accessed by its direct URL at Blog.

We have included our Blog with a lot of modern technologies such as reading time, category, tag, customised icon, timeago, archiver view and so much more.

We really hope this will give viewers the maximum viewing experience with our Blog.

However, within the blog section, we still believe there are many aspects we should consider improving. And in order to ensure we will not miss out anything in the future, we have listed them down below. And similar to the other todo list, please note that some items that have already been developed are marked as completed in the task-lists below.
